One of the basic positions in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is the guard. Many offensive and defense techniques are available to the person on the bottom.

It looks like this child might be going for an arm bar or maybe even a triangle choke.

We are the only academy in Utah with five certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts! We all trained and were awarded our black belts under Professor Pedro Sauer while he was here in Salt Lake City, Utah. Once he moved to Virginia, we decided to unify our Gracie Jiu Jitsu skills and knowledge by opening an academy together.

Jan 21, 2012 Unified Jiu-Jitsu has 3 new Black Belts!! Congratulations to Michael Harris, John McKean, and Armando Slack. They were awarded their black belts from master Sauer on Saturday. Congratulations to Micah Rellor who received his brown.
